the latest one is finally done I think it is my very very best
I'm so glad to see it first
you really must go celebrate the world can wait, they'll hear about it soon

Solly can you loan a pen
I've used up mine from writing all these lines, and I don't want to stop
Take another from my hand
There's plenty more  now what's in store
new drawings, stories, novels, or new pop?

And as he walks away
I look at his hammer, and wonder to myself about the strength it takes to raise
I look at his head
and I wonder how so much is inside
not like me, I am empty
though I've tried and tried
and I lay fallow
achieving nothing
the soil is black yet nothing grows but weeds

Solly can you lend your ear
You know how hard I've sweated over this one
you've been with me all the way
Did I ever fail before
call on me for everything I'll bring it if I can, and go for more

I was raised with expectations of being the bright one
I was the smart one, I was to win
Now I am the friend of the best minds of my generation

Solly can you lend a hand
I need someone to talk to
I can't sleep with all these voices in my head
I'll be over very soon
Just one quick stop I have to shop for something that I want to give to you
