Description

CPS 4 is a study of clear thinking and problem solving using the computer. Representation, problem decomposition, and structured or object oriented programming. Students learn a modern computer language and develop skills by solving a variety of symbolic and numerical problems. Not intended as an introduction to the major.

Topics covered include introduction to programming in Java, object-oriented programming, graphical user interfaces, collections, recursion, working with the Internet, sorting and searching.
