2nd inclass exam will be on: Wed., Mar. 29, 2000.
3. Homework 1 will be due on: Wed. Feb. 2, 2000. There is a 10%-20%
late-submission penalty.
4. Homework 2 will be due on: Mon. Feb. 14, 2000. There is a 10%-20%
late-submission penalty.
5. On Feb. 16, Wed., there will be the first in-class exam. Close book.
6. Homework 3 will be due on: Wed. March, 1, 2000. There is a 10%-20%
late-submission penalty.

10. The remaining lectures do not use a handout but will be written on the board. You have the responsibility to take notes. The lectures cover the theory of computation, and are based on the Linz book. A copy is on reserve in the library. The lectures draw from several parts of two chapters.
