Today's classwork goes along with Chapter 2, section 2 and Tips and
Techniques.
The following work needs to be checked off when you have completed it.
- Build the snowman program on page 47, problem number 3.
- The scene has a snowman and two snowwomen. The snowman tries to get
the snowwoman's attention by calling to her. She turns to face him, he
blinks, she blushes and she turns back. He hangs his head and turns away.
- Following along in Tips and Techniques 2 pages 38-40, create
a world called Chap2MonkeyAndBall. Add a ball and a monkey
to the world, place the monkey on top of the ball and get them
to roll forward together.
- Following along in Tips and Techniques 2 pages 40-43, create
a world called Chap2HorseAndChicken. Add a horse, a chicken and a helicopter
to the world and do the following.
- Place the helicopter behind the horse, on the ground and to the right side of the window.
- Set the chicken on the horse's back.
- Using the vehicle property, make the horse a vehicle for the
chicken.
- Have the horse and chicken move forward together 2 meters, turn left
a quarter (.25) of a revolution and then move forward off the screen.
- After the horse and chicken are out of sight, have the helicopter
do the following steps in order. (see the book on how to do this)
- Do at the same time: roll right 0.15 revolutions and move up one meter.
- Do at the same time: roll left 0.15 revolutions and move up one meter.
- Zoom off out of sight.
- Exercise 4 on page 48. Name this world Chap2CirclingFish.
- (not to checkoff) Try using the point at method in the book on pages 44-46. Add a rowboat (no people), an island and a lighthouse to a world. Get the
boat to point at and move toward the island.
