What to turn in:

Turn in your assignment as a single zipped folder/directory (no RAR, bz2, gz, tgz, 7z, zoo, etc. please). Please use your name as part of the name of the folder

For assignments that involve written answers to questions, you should submit a PDF with your answers. Do not submit Microsoft word or RTF documents.

For assignments that involve code, your code must include a README with clear instructions on what is required to make your code run. Whatever you submit should be self-contained. You should not expect the TA to install libraries to compile and execute your code. If the TA cannot get your code to run after a reasonable amount of effort, you may not get full credit for your assignment.

Your code should include a reasonable quantity of comments so that a reader can figure out what you've done and why you've done it. You don't need to comment every line, but you should delineate major blocks with comments and add comments in any parts where you do something tricky or non-obvious.

Homework is due at 11:59:59 on the due date. Extensions may be obtained if you ask the professor in advance and have a reasonable excuse. Reasonable excuses include:

Blackboard will not accept homework submitted after the deadline, so it must be sent to the TA (with the professor cc'd). If you submit a late homework without having been given an extension, there will be 10% per day lateness penalty deducted from your total grade. Late homeworks will not be accepted after the day the subsequent assignment is given out. Example: Homeworks are typically due on Thursdays at 11:59:59. If you submit on Friday at 11:59:59 (without having been granted an extension), your maximum possible grade would be 90% of the total possible on the assignment. Homeworks are typically assigned on Tuesdays. If you turn in a late assignment on Monday at 11:59:59 (without having been granted an extension), your maximum grade would be 60% of the total possible on the assignment. No late homeworks would be accepted on Tuesday or later.
