Meredith Maltese's Soccer Animation
Assignment 4
How to control the animation:
- First, click the "setup" button. This will line up all of the
yellow and red players to their respective sides of the field.
- Next, you should pick a setting for the slider labeled "wait."
This controls the time inbetween each movement on the field. I
recommend that you use 1. If you use 0, you will not get to see all
of the plays, only the end results, and 2 is a little slow.
- Click the "line up" button next so that the players who are in the
game line up in their positions on the field.
- You should then click the "play 1" button. This shows the first
play of the game, where yellow begins with the ball. But red steals the ball
and manages to score against the yellow team. One point is added to
red's score in the top left hand corner.
- After play 1 is over, click the "line up 2" button. This gets the
players ready for the second play. Yellow starts with the ball since
the red team just scored.
- You should then click the "play 2" button. This starts the second
play of the game. Yellow passes and dribbles around the field and
scores on the red team. A point is then added to yellow's score in
the top left hand corner.
- You can then click the "line up 3" box, which gets the players set
up for the next play. Red now has possession of the ball since yellow
just scored.
- Before you click the next button, you should decide which team you
would like to win. The slider labeled "yellow or red?" controls
this. If you would like the yellow team to win, make sure the slider
is at 0, if you would like the red team to win, make sure the slider
is at 1.
- Now when you click the "play 3" button, the next play will start
and the team you have chosen will score. The winning team will then
celebrate by running around the field crazily.
