The first two labs for this semester are subsets of the Nachos labs used in the undergraduate OS course. A detailed Nachos lab guide is available online: Justin's Nachos page offers supplementary materials relating to Nachos for CPS 210 (e.g., where to get it, how to hand in the labs). Please post questions relating to the labs on the course newsgroup. Lab 1: Threads, Synchronization, and a Simple KernelLab 1 is due at 11:59:59 PM EST on February 4. This lab consists of the following modules from the standard projects: Note that these lab modules are interspersed with related modules that you are not being asked to do for CPS 210, including semaphore-based synchronization (3.3), EventBarrier (3.4), timer management (3.6), and elevator (3.7). To avoid confusion, pay attention to the subsection numbers in the lab guide. Lab 2: IPC and Virtual MemoryLab 2 is due at 11:59:59 PM EST on February 18.
