Assignment 7: The Deadly Quest

The princess is trapped in the tall tower, and the knight must go on a quest to save her life. After a brief introduction, the knight begins to make his way towards the tower. However, he quickly encounters a dark knight and is forced to joust him to be allowed to pass. Pressing the space bar when the moving bar is in the green section will result in a successful joust leaving the opponent knight on the ground and allowing the hero to move forward to the next stage. An unsuccessful joust will knock the hero from his horse and will take away 5 health points. A crowd stands nearby to cheer the knight onwards.

In the next scene the knight is confronted with a raging river. To cross the river, the knight must dismount his loyal steed and cross the river by jumping from rock to rock by pressing the "S" key.

After crossing the river, the knight is confronted by another challenger wielding a sword. The hero must brandish his axe and attack the challenger to be allowed to pass. The user can press the "r" key to swing the axe and can move forwards and backwards using the arrow keys. The hero knight must hit the challenger twice with his axe to defeat him, but with every hit from the opponent's sword, the knight will lose 5 health points.
Upon completing the duel, the knight moves towards the tower but is confronted by a giant troll. The intelligent knight decides to throw rocks at the troll to take down the large opponent. The user can click with the mouse on the yellow targets that appear on the troll's body to throw rocks at the troll. Three successful throws will take down the troll. However, time is of the essence, since every time the troll swings his club the knight will lose 5 health points.
Finally, the knight confronts his last challenge. A wizard stands in his way, but this wizard requires the knight to answer one simple question, "What is the name of the princess?" The knight feels the pressure as he notices the jumping frogs (probably past knights) beside him. If the knight answers correctly, the wizard will disappear in a puff of smoke. However, if the knight does not know the answer, he will be turned into a frog and the quest will end.
After completing the quest, the knight has finally reached the tower to save the princess. While the knight stands there, the princess turns around, finds a ladder, and climbs down from the tower. The knight is shocked. "You had that ladder the whole time?" he asks. "I guess so", the princess replies. The frustrated knight leaves the scene, and the words YOU HAVE SAVED THE PRINCESS! congratulates the user. Thanks for playing.
