Recursive Art ( & Contest)       CPS 004.1, 16 July 2003

To reinforce the previous assignments and to make sure you are getting the hang of recursion, we announce the CPS 4 Recursive Art Contest! You will select a Student's Choice winner. Winners will receive extra credit points. Everyone must to produce a good faith entry to get full credit for this as an assignment.

Rules

Your original art work must be produced using the GP package on a classroom PC's and must rely heavily on recursion. You should work alone this time. Your art work must be titled and some details given about the algorithm used to create it.

Grading will be based on meeting the rules and

  1. Originality
  2. Aesthetic appeal
  3. Simplicity of the programs (the simpler the better, all things being equal)

Examples

Here are some example entries from the staff in a previous semester. (Surely you can do better!)

What to Submit

You should make a new project for each entry. When you are finished, you and your partner should transfer the entire project folder created by Visual J++ to your respective public_html/cps4 folder in the acpub system and update your course web page to link to the newly transferred project using the guidelines given here.
