There will be two different types of workshops in June 2009. There will be a 2-3 day followup workshop for teachers who attended the 2008 workshop. There will also be three one-week introductory Alice workshops for new teachers. In addition, there will be a one-day Alice conference on June 17, 2009 and a two 2-day workshops on Alice on June 15-16 for new people and advanced people.
There will be a two-day workshop June 15-16, 2009 for teachers who attended the 2008 workshop. Optionally, teachers can stay a third day to attend an Alice Conference that will be held at Duke on June 17, 2009. Teachers will be paid $100 a day to participate in this workshop and conference.
CLICK HERE TO APPLY for the followup workshopThere will be three one-week introductory Alice workshops in June/July 2009 for teachers who have never programmed before that want to learn Alice for use in middle schools and high schools. The workshops are the same, so you can only attend one of the workshops. These are free workshops that include lunch (except Sunday), breaks, and 30 hours education credits. There are no stipends for attending these workshops.
There will be two two-day workshops for new and advanced teachers June 15-16. If you have never programmed before, strongly recommend the one week workshops above.
