This morning we began our first alice workshop. I took about an hour to correct the changes to skaterWorld. Professor Rodger is still apprehensive about it being to much, but I figure that with part two, we can easily just skip the bendDown and standUp methods, and it'll be fine. Professor Rodger showed Kitty Story :-). Then went through Jenna's tutorial. It's a good tutorial, and it seemed to go well. We were able to get through Part One and a bit of part two in Skater World. All in all, a good start to the week.

So this morning, I completed a bit more of Part Two with the teacers. Then Professor Rodger decided it wasn't going to work out so we skipped to Part Four. We did other tutorials, and some demonstrations. I think the teachers really enjoyed doing the knight and princess exercise. Most of the teachers seem to be understanding fairly well. The others just need a little bit more guidance along the way :o).

I'm working on revising the skater tutorial world. I'm going to make a 'simple version' that it'll be more useful for group instruction. It should be ready in time for next week.

We continued to go through tutorials and demonstrations. My sister Shannon came for lunch today. One of the teachers asked her how she changed her hair and clothes so quickly, lol (thinking she was me). I think the grad student at lunch does interesting research. But she's quite soft spoken and I don't think I caught everything she said. We took a fun group pic with all the undergrad research students. I think the teachers are really catching on now.

Today we were able to go through the dive. It was a lot of fun. And I think Henry really enjoyed giving the tour. If only we had more time, I would really enjoy seeing what kind of worlds this group of teachers came up with.

Wow, one week has finished already! The teachers left quite excited and appreciative. I've learned a lot in preparation for the weeks to come. I am going to work on Saturday instead of Sunday.
