| FridayI worked 8 hours today. I revised the skater tutorials and sent them to Professor Rodger. I realized the quiz tutorials from scratch are really helpful. But the teachers would probably want to have a world where they can quickly create their own quizzes. So I created two quiz template worlds also. I'm going to write up tutorials explaining how to use the starter worlds to make their own quizzes.
Instead of going to the first day of our Second Teacher Workshop, I went to Raleigh to visit my family. I'm so grateful I was able to go. When I got home, I worked for 2 hours. I finished the skater world remake. (SO I worked for 10 hours this weekend).
Today I went over Part 2, then Professor did Part 3, I did Part 4. It went by so fast, that Liz and Maggie thought we were only half way through when I did Part 4. Lol. The teachers this week have a different dynamic then the group last week. It's harder for me to know when they're following along or not. I mostly helped the teachers and worked on my quiz templates for a bit.
Professor Rodger told me skater world was in good condition, but I still need to slow down when I give it. Ah, always learning. So I fixed all the bugs in tic tac toe game. Yea! It works. But the random computer player is so easy to beat. I'm going to make a smarter computer player now. But I need to come up with a good algorithm/heuristic of some sort first. Today, Jenna went over the function tutorial, Maggie did lists. Professor Rodger did kangaroo visit. We're moving along at a great pace I think.
We continued to go through all of the tutorials. I really enjoyed lunch today with Professor Lucic' talk about ISIS. These grad school talks are interesting AND helpful. And my sister Shannon was able to come to lunch as well.
Wow, another week finished already. We finished the tutorials (except Maggie was still going through the timer tutorial by the end of the day). Charisma was able to come to lunch today, but Shannon had to go to work. Several teachers demoed their worlds, which were really good. After Lana went over the how to ask questions tutorials, it was a perfect time for me to show the quiz templates. Professor Rodger had given me a great idea yesterday to put all of the quiz templates in a shape object. Right after the tutorial, a teacher showed me her world. I was able to give her the saved object right away. It worked perfectly :o).
Even though we didn't have to go into the office today, I worked on catching up with my journal and putting the quiz templates into tutorials. I also worked on my example world. It's still in the preliminary set up stages.I worked for 5 hours.
