The closest airport is RDU (Raleigh-Durham). It is about 20 minutes from Duke when it is not rush hour. RDU is situated in the middle of the triangle between Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill.
There is no shuttle to the hotel. Here are your options.
There is a TTA bus (Triangle Transit Authority Bus). See Maps and Schedules . Click on Bus and Shuttle, Map and Schedules.
You basically take the Shuttle from RDU to the RTP station, and then take the bus from RTP to Durham. Get off at the Duke Hospital station and you are about one short block from the hotel.
There are several Limo services listed on the RDU web site under ground transportation, transportation services that you have to call for in advance. None of these are licensed by RDU and thus set their own rates, all different. I'm not sure if for one person you can get a cheaper rate than a taxi.
