• The Brookwood Inn, 800.716.6401, 919.286.3111. They have a workshop rate that should be $59/night, ask for FYI (or Duke Computer Science if that doesn't work). About a half mile to the LSRC (less if you take a shortcut through the hospital.) Continental breakfast, non-smoking rooms.

• The Brownestone Inn, (800.367.0293 outside NC or 919.286.7761). The workshop rate should be $49/night for a double bed, $56 for two double beds (again, specify the FYI workshop for that rate). Less than a half mile to the LSRC. Continental breakfast.

• The Washington Duke Inn (919.490.0999) is the the nicest hotel, but you pay for this. On the golf course, walking trails, internet connection in the room. Roughly 0.6 miles to the LSRC.
