Prof. Tao Hsieh in the Biochemistry Department is looking for an
undergraduate student for a paid position to write a small piece of
image analysis software to correct for drift in a series microscopic
images. Please pass this announcement on to prospective applicants:

We have an opening for a student with strong computer programming
skills to work in a biochemistry/molecular biology laboratory at Duke
University Medical Center. The software to be developed by him/her is
expected to track individual spots from a stack of image files taken at
different time points, and extract quantitative information therein.
The time-dependent fluctuation of the individual spots will yield
useful information regarding enzyme kinetics and functions. The
software to be developed will facilitate the interfacing of the image
data files to other existing software for quantitative treatment of
these data points. Work study is not required. Interested individuals
should contact: trl4@duke.edu
