Position at Revlon


The Application Testing / Quality Control Analyst will be accountable for performing the testing and quality control of business applications within Information Management. Responsible for the unit, functional, regression, performance, usability, acceptance, integration, and other testing of Revlon business applications, and uncovering any embedded logic flaws in the application. Testing includes executing the newly constructed application programs, as well as existing code requiring business-mandated changes against a set of test scenarios, scripts and data, and reviewing the application to ensure that existing standards were followed.

Develop test scenarios, test scripts, test plans, as well as create test data that supports the testing of new applications and changes to existing applications.

Contribute to the establishment and documentation of technical standards. Responsible for ensuring that technical design and construction comply with those standards. Responsible for testing the process through which technical designs are tested and consistent with our Standard System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology and Project Management process.

Work closely with IM Project Management Office (PMO) and Business Liaison teams to ensure that the testing work is scheduled according to priorities agreed upon with our business partners. He/she is responsible for ensuring the completion of work according to schedule.

Participate in formal and informal meetings with the Business Liaison team and, as appropriate, our business partners, to present in a clear, concise and professional manner the details of the test scenarios and scripts and the results of the unit and integration testing to convey the integrity of the new application and demonstrate that it delivers the required business functionality.

Remain aware of the latest developments and trends in the technology marketplace with respect to application development, with a particular focus on testing techniques, tools and methodologies. The Testing / Quality Control Analyst will research and make suggestions of tool and technique adoption based upon the requirements of the Revlon’s environment. This is done through regular reading of appropriate technology publications and attending technology conferences/workshops, and training..

Review Project Documentation and learn Business processes as required for assigned projects.

Serve as “internal auditor” of Revlon’s Application Development process, methodology, and technical standards; ensuring compliance before allowing new development into production.

Experience with manual and automated testing.

Broad knowledge and variety of technical areas with emphasis on client/server applications and their many aspects.  

Knowledge of testing methodologies.

Experience in writing test documentation and automated Testing Tools.
