Directions to Brookwood Inn

From I-40 East:
Head down I-40 West to Durham. Take 147 North. Take the Elba St exit 15A. Continue on Elba Street to Brookwood Inn.

From I-85 Virgina:
Head down I-85 south to Durham. Take 15-501 South Exit. Take 147 South. Take the Hillendale Rd exit. Bear right onto the Fulton St ramp. Bear Right on Fulton St. Turn left at Elba St.

From I-85 Greensboro:
Head down I-85 north to Durham. Take 15-501 South Exit. Take 147 South. Take the Hillendale Rd exit. Bear right onto the Fulton St ramp. Bear Right on Fulton St. Turn left at Elba St.

Directions to LSRC Building

NOTE: You can walk from Brookwood Inn or you can drive. If you drive you still have to park far away and walk, so I would recommend walking. To park you need a parking pass and we have to pay for each pass used.

Walking from Brookwood Inn:
If you don't want to walk, the Brookwood Inn Courtesy shuttle can bring you. Let them know ahead of time. If you walk it is a 10 minute walk. Walk out and head straight to Duke North Hospital (NOT the VA hospital). Go in the main entrance and walk straight all the way through the hospital to the elevators. Follow the hallway to the right, it curves around and then goes straight. At the end of the hallway, go out the door to the walkway. Walk along the walkway until you see on your right the building with the Blue Awning that says "Medical Center Store". Take the next right off the walkway. You will walk past the Medical Center Store and down this road. You will pass the Bryan Research center on your right and come to a stop sign. Turn right and head down this road. The LSRC building is to your left on the other side of the road. Cross the road to the LSRC building. Walk down the sidewalk parallel to the LSRC until you see the Hall of Science and enter there.

From I-40/15-501 intersection:
Take 15-501 toward Duke University. Take the exit for 751 and turn right. At the next stop light, turn left onto Erwin Road. At the second stop light, turn right onto Lasalle. Go to Parking.

From the Brookwood Inn: Go out and head toward Duke Hospital. At the stop light facing Duke Hospital, turn right onto Erwin Road. Go straight. At the second stop light. Turn left onto Lassalle. Go to Parking.

Parking:
For those local people not staying at the hotel. You can park on LaSalle street in any spot that is not reserved 24 hours (Look for sign such as Mon-Fri - Circuit permit), or Parking Meters that say Mon-Fri, or after going down LaSalle turn right at the stop sign and there is Circuit permit Mon-Fri (no permit Saturday). DO NOT park in a handicapped spot, or if a spot has its own sign with a special permit number, or says Tow Zone and not Mon-FriOR To park in the big gated lot you will need to pick up a parking pass at the circle by LSRC B101 (park at the circle, put on your blinkers, walk in the door and pickup a parking pass) and then drive back to the parking lot. However, there should be plenty of street parking that is free on the weekend this early, so we shouldn't need parking passes. From the parking lot to LSRC B101
Continue down Lasalle to the stop sign. Turn left and enter the small parking lot on your right. You will go down the stairs. The LSRC building is in front of you. It is a huge building. You need to walk to the left a bit and then you will see the circle where you got your parking pass. Enter the building there.
