CSL: Facilities: Library

There are two collections maintained within the CS Lab: the Computer Science Library and the USENIX Library.

Computer Science Library

The C.S. Library is located in Gail Smith's office, LSRC D128. Gail, by the way, is the librarian. If you are a C.S. faculty or staff member or graduate student, you can check out books from the library. The check out period is two weeks, but faculty and staff can check out books for extended periods.

The /home/lab/bin/xslim program can be used to search for books in the library, and to check whether or not they are checked out.

For more information, please talk to Gail.

USENIX Library

There is also a collection of USENIX Association publications in Dan Singer's office, LSRC D127. These include issues of the ;login: newsletter, Computing Systems journal, and conference proceedings dating back as far as 1986 and going through 2002. Please talk to Dan if you'd like to check out any of these.

For a searchable index of USENIX conference proceedings and other publications, see http://www.usenix.org/publications/library/.

For more information on the USENIX Association, please talk to Landon Cox, or see http://www.usenix.org/.
