MacOS Printing

CSL: Mac OS Printing

Printing under MacOS within the department is accomplished via IP printing to the printers. This document will detail how to set up a printer under MacOS 12+, using AirPrint.

To use a printer, you must first connect to the DukeBlue network and add it to your list of printers using Printers & Scanners settings. (If you switched from using a Windows computer to a Mac, using Printers & Scanners settings is similar to using the Printing control panel in Windows.)

For example, settings for the printer pr128 would be:

Address: pr128.cs.duke.edu Protocol: AirPrint

See detailed steps below:

Choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Printers & Scanners in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Click (+) to set up a printer.<br />
