Configuring SMTP AUTH/STARTTLS with Eudora

To configure Eudora to use SMTP AUTH/STARTTLS:

  1. Go to the Tools menu and choose options.
  2. Make sure the SMTP server is named mail.cs.duke.edu.
  3. Select the settings; Allow Authentication, Immediate Send, and Send on Check.
  4. Under Secure Sockets when Sending, select If Available, STARTTLS.
  5. Click OK.
