Directions

  • Visitors with advance parking reservations:

You can make parking reservations in advance by calling 919-660-6500 or email schedule@duke.edu. Directions to the reserved parking lot can be found at http://www.cs.duke.edu/dept_info/contact/directions.php. There are only a couple of reserved spaces available, so please make reservations in advance.

  • Visitors without parking reservations (regular hours):

The best place to park is Parking Garage IV or Bryan Center Paylot (see rate table). Parking Garage IV is the gray box (marked with "PGIV") located on SCIENCE DR. in the lower-right portion of this map; Bryan Center Paylot is directly to its north.

    1. Follow the directions at http://www.cs.duke.edu/dept_info/contact/directions.php to get to ERWIN ROAD. From ERWIN ROAD, instead of turning onto RESEARCH DRIVE, turn onto TOWERVIEW RD. toward the campus.
    2. Turn left at the second intersection, onto SCIENCE DR. You will then find Parking Garage IV and Bryan Center Paylot on the right side of the road.
    3. After parking your car, walk north along SCIENCE DR. towards the traffic circle at its end. At the other side of traffic circle, take the long stairs down towards a garden and the LSRC building (Levine Science Research Center). After walk past a cafeteria, you will reach the main entrance of LSRC. Instead of entering through this main entrance, turn right and follow the perimeter of the building until you reach the D-wing entrance of LSRC. This trail is marked with a series of purple dots on the map.

  • Visitors without parking reservations (after hours/weekends):

Campus parking is free on weekends and after 5pm on weekdays, although some lots may remain gated. The best place to park is on LASALLE ST.

    1. Follow the directions at http://www.cs.duke.edu/dept_info/contact/directions.php to get to ERWIN ROAD. From ERWIN ROAD, instead of turning onto RESEARCH DRIVE, turn onto LASALLE ST. (in the upper-middle portion of the map) toward the campus. You can park on the streetside during after hours and weekends.
    2. After parking your car, walk south along LASALLE ST. towards a gated parking lot (colored gray and labelled LASALLE on the map) overlooking the LSRC building (Levine Science Research Center). Walk through the parking lot and take the stairs down towards LSRC. Turn left and follow and perimeter of the LSRC building. Walk past its main entrance (located near a circle), and enter through the small entrance to the D-wing, located several steps below the road. This trail is marked with a series of orange dots on the map.
    3. On weekends and evenings the door may be locked. If that happens, call us from a campus phone; there is one located near the D-wing entrance.
    4. If there is no space available on LASALLE ST., you can also try CIRCUIT DRIVE and TOWERVIEW RD.
