Congratulations to the 2011 C-SURF Fellows. These talented undergraduates have committed to an intensive research experience, including two semesters of linked independent studies, a nine-week summer research, and a presentation at the C-SURF Poster Day in the spring of their senior year.
"We’re really excited about them," says Professor Jeff Forbes, a co-coordinator of the C-SURF program. "These students have made a real commitment to see this research through." Fellows this year are pursuing a range of topics across computer science, including the use of mobile phones in medicine, computer vision and surveillance, and robotics education in Durham public schools.
The new C-SURF Fellows, named below, were celebrated at dinner launching this year's program on February 22nd at the Faculty Commons.
