Yang Liu

Grad Student

I'm interested in architectures for emerging technologies, including memristor-based systems and nanoscale DNA self-assembled systems. I'm also interested in Network-on-Chip (NoC), Processing-in-Memory (PIM), and multicore systems.

Duke CS gives PhD students the opportunity to choose their advisors during the first year. This made it possible for me to switch from software engineering, in which I received a Master's degree in China, to computer architecture, when I realized this was my real interest.

I plan to join industry after I graduate because I'm interested not only in research but also in turning the research results into products to improve people's lives.
