I completed my Ph.D. in the Department of Computer Science at Duke University, and am currently a researcher in the DB group at Microsoft Research. During my Ph.D., I worked with my advisor Dr. Jun Yang in the Duke database group. I am interested in databases and distributed systems, with particular interests in publish/subscribe systems and continuous query processing, traditional database query processing and optimization, distributed data management with application-level networking, and pervasive access to data and applications. My publications have appeared at the top database conferences, including SIGMOD, VLDB, and ICDE.
