Transport issues and new transports

For February 20 and 22, we discussed alternative Internet transports, mostly DCCP, focusing on interesting features and the limitations of TCP that motivated them. The SIGCOMM 2006 paper Designing DCCP is a good in-depth discussion. We will also touch on SCTP, drawing from the short paper SCTP: An innovative transport layer protocol for the web from the WWW 06 conference.
