Chole [choe'-leh]

This is a spicey Indian vegetable stew.


2 - 3 Tbsoil
2 tspsalt
3 Tbscurry powder
1 Tbsgnd. tumeric
1 Tbsgnd. corriander
1 1/2 Tbsgaram masala
1 Tbsgnd. cinnamon
2 tspgnd. anchur (optional)
2 Tbsfresh ginger, chopped (optional)
1 Tbsgarlic, chopped
1/2 - 1onion, sliced
4 - 6medium potatoes (optional)
1 medium canchick peas, (large can if no potatoes)
severalhot peppers, or 1 tsp gnd. black pepper
1 medium canwhole tomatos, sliced
