The Analyzing Paths Page

Last update: 5/19/98

Welcome to the Analyzing Paths page.

In the February 1998 Toolman article, two tools are discussed: reslink, a program for resolving symbolic links, and seepath, a program for displaying status details of each component of a path. Both are diagnostic tools that aid in analyzing UNIX paths.

The article about reslink and seepath, "Toolman: Upcoming Issues; Analyzing Paths," appears in the February 1998 issue of the USENIX Association's ;login: magazine.

The following are available:

reslink is written and maintained by Yuji Shinozaki, and seepath is written and maintained by Daniel E. Singer, both at the Department of Computer Science of Duke University. If you have any questions, please send email to yuji@cs.duke.edu and des@cs.duke.edu.

Note: Yuji now works for the University of North Carolna Physics Department, and can be reached at yuji@physics.unc.edu.
