I am
the USENIX University Liaison for Duke University.
As such, my responsibilities include:
-
Distribute Calls-for-Papers and Conference Brochures for USENIX events.
-
Encourage students to apply for travel grants to attend USENIX
conferences. USENIX's generous stipend program will pay for travel,
hotel, and registration fees for qualified full-time students.
-
Encourage students to submit papers. USENIX awards cash prizes for
best student paper at most of its conferences. Papers are
published in the Conference Proceedings which are distributed at
the conference.
-
Maintain and make available a library of USENIX publications and
CD-ROMs for interested persons associated with the university.
-
Distribute membership information to interested students.
-
Provide feedback and suggestions for how we might improve and
launch new services for persons associated with the university.
I will be posting fliers in the CS department, as well as making
information available from this web page and being available
to personally answer questions when possible.
