- HarambeeNet: NSF CPATH project to bring educators together to design modules for an alternate introduction into computer science by studying the topics that arise from analyzing and modeling social networks.
- Duke/Durham Public Schools Robotics Program: Burroughs-Wellcome Student Science Enrichment Program project that is centered around weekly after school meetings at Durham School of the Arts supplemented by Saturday science workshops and RoboCup Junior competitions.
- Advancing Robotics for Social Impact: NSF BPC Alliance for collaborative education and research centered around robotics for healthcare, the arts, and entrepreneurship.
- Panels and Special Sessions Co-Chair with Andrea Danyluk of SIGCSE 2009
- Co-Chair with Monica Anderson of the Tapia 2009 Robotics Competition
