The two year study showed that most teachers and students who utilized JFLAP in their courses had a high opinion of it. The majority of students thought it made learning concepts easier and made them more engaged. JFLAP also expanded to contain a user-control parser, a CYK Parser, expanded the pumping lemma, added TM-to-Unrestricted Grammar conversion, as well as automatically adding trap states/arcs, additional layouts, loading input strings from files, grammar identification, and an online tutorial.
