About My Name

First, feel free to call me Ming, a.k.a. Kuan-ming Lin as will be mentioned below.

"Kuan-ming" is the English translation of my Chinese name pronounced 'Guan\', means 'champion' in Chinese pronounced 'ming/', means 'bright' in Chinese. (Click on these characters to see what they mean and how they are written.) My surname is Lin pronounced 'lin/', means 'forest', a popular surname in Taiwan, and back home we put the surname before the first name, so I am called Lin, Kuan-ming lin2guan4ming2.

The above Chinese character images are generated by TigntNT Chinese conversion tools. Also, there is a Chinese Language Corpus website.
