Need know more about computer visions
Flat TVs and screens are terrible. Why do most cameras and video capturers have only a single eye? If we want to approach the 3-D feeling of humans, we should concentrate on how to emulate humans' both-eye vision.

I have constantly thought about the 3-D glasses. It seems the only reasonable solution to simulate human 3-D sense, by generating 2 slightly different images simultaneously. It is the only convenient design which is independent of the human head position.

The i18n criteria for operating systems
It happens a lot that OS supports Chinese characters , but not all built-in software in this OS supports i18n. While i18n is currently examined on application software basis, I think it is more essential to examine the i18n integrity of the OS, especially when we have more and more software bundling to the OS, such as MSN/IE to M$, and X system to *NIX...
An introductory paragraph about the newsgroups
I still read some newsgroups forums, do you?
A 99% rule of thumb
When a United State citizen says "All office workers used Microsoft Office before," what does s/he mean? According to my (3-month) experience, s/he says it as long as over 80% of the office workers used MS Office before. In contrast, I will consider the argument false because I implicitly apply a "99% rule of thumb;" therefore, I can not agree with any statement starting with "All," "Every," or "Workers in the United States" if it is true for less than 99% of the subject.

A similar issue on language use is "most." Currently I have no idea whether 51%, 2/3, or 80% (from the 80-20 rule) coverage should be applied to the subject of the sentence "Most office workers used Microsoft Office before."

An introductory paragraph about data compression
It's only my draft, but do you believe that the comment of my teacher was,"This is perfect English -- is it all your original language?" Anyways, I think it still can be improved...
