Value Functions
Background: Finish Chapter 5.
The focus today is on how we can define the values for an evaluation
function. If done right, such a scheme could help support optimal
planning and learning.
Questions:
- Define a value function for tic-tac-toe. The hard case is
ties... given two choices either of which would lead to a tie, how
would you define things so that one might be preferred to another?
Notes
We'll watch the truck-backing video and look at Luis' lego design.
We'll talk about minimax.
