About Me

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at Duke University. I expect to graduate in June 2012. I am working with my advisor Shivnath Babu on the topic of integrated management of the persistent-storage and data-processing layers in data-intensive computing systems.

In 2010 I received my Master's degree (M.S.) from Duke University. In 2009, my Research Initiation Project (Diagnosing Query Slowdowns in Database and SAN Environments) won the departmental Outstanding Research Initiation Project Award. Prior to coming to Duke University, I completed my B.S. in Computer Science at the Sofia University, Bulgaria in June 2006.
