We are offering a new version of Compsci 92, previously Compsci 82, in the Spring of 2013. We will support 60-70 students in the course as we gear it up for a larger offering in academic year 2013-2014.
This course has a two-hour lab and will cover the topics previously covered in 82, e.g., technical and social foundations of the Internet as well as introducing programming, data analysis/mining, and an understanding of how the web and the Internet work by constructing digital artifacts.
The course has a limited enrollment for Spring 2013, with seats divided among the four classes, but weighted toward first and second year students. We don't plan on expanding the number of available seats at this time.
