CPS 108 Fall 1996: Toonces Presentation
Presenting Toonces
Each group can, optionally (but strongly encouraged), make a
presentation about their Toonces project. This could
include:
- Overview of the design/implementation/learn Java cycle
- Group/Individual expertise
- Group/Individual learning
- Group/Individual problems
- Group/Individual strengths
- Design Patterns used in Toonces
- User-Interface issues
- Java issues
- Future improvements if Tonces is continued
- Impressions of the project both from a team perspective and from a
"what was delivered" perspective.
Groups should prepare for a 10 minute presentation. Ideally this will
include making transparencies using Powerpoint, some other presentation
software, or hand-drawn/made transparencies. In general, one slide
takes about two minutes to present. However, this is a heuristic, not a
hard and fast rule. You should be prepared for questions, for not being
able to do everything you want, and for not having enough to fill your
time.
Groups that want to present can use CS departmental resources
if needed (e.g., color printer). If a group wants to present, please
send email to ola@cs.duke.edu.
Presentations will be made on November 22, 25, and 27 as necessary. We
will not use the entire class period for presentations.
