Directions to LSRC/Computer Science Dept

From Cricket Inn

The Cricket Inn is near the Duke North Hospital. Note that it is closest to the VA Hospital, but you want to walk towards the North Hospital on Erwin Road.

• If you walk through the hospital it's much shorter than by road. Enter the North Hospital (cross Erwin and go into the hospital). Walk straight past the gift store and information booth towards the elevators. Just before the elevators, bear to the right, walking around the elevators.

  Go past a hall opening (construction/cafeteria) and follow an overhead sign to south hospital walkway. You'll be in a long hallway with window on your right. At the end of the hall, exit right out the doors (signs say Duke Clinics, Library, Searle Center). Do not follow the walkway left, but go down the stairs in front of you as you exit the hospital. When you've taken all the stairs you'll be on a driveway.

  Follow the driveway/roadway to the the right at first, but following it as it bears left away from the hospital. After about 50 meters you'll see a sidwalk on the right. Take this sidewalk, between two buildings. At the end of the sidewalk you'll run into Research drive with the LSRC just across the street. Enter the building as soon as you can, that's the Computer Science Dept wing.

• If you're walking on roads, when you get to Erwin, turn right and walk down Erwin. You'll have to cross Erwin, either at the Hospital or further down the road. After 1/4 -- 1/2 mile you'll get to a stop light at Research Drive. Turn left and walk down Research Drive. In another 1/4 -- 1/2 mile you'll start down a hill and see the North building on your right followed by the LSRC on your right. There are signs by both buildings. Just past the driveway between the North building and LSRC buildings is the entrance to the Computer Science Dept --- we're the wing closest to Research Drive. As you walk on the right side of Research Drive, turn right just past the LSRC, then curl right again into our wing of the building.

From Hilton/Fairfield

If you park, the LSRC will be on your right as you enter the parking lot (it's a huge, long building). As you're facing the LSRC, the Computer Science dept will be all the way to your left, the D-wing. Go down the stairs, the turn left until you get to Research Drive or see an entrance to the D-wing down some stairs on your right.
