My Postdoc at Rochester University.
I
had a two-year postdoc at University of
Rochester and Jane moved to Rochester with me during that time. Although my
supervisor was Jerry Feldman,
my research work took my in new directions, and I wrote papers on the
complexity of games with incomplete information and on robotic motion planning,
and on topological problems. At Rochester I met Gary
Miller, who worked with me in theoretical computer science. He and his wife
Margaret became close friends, and we enjoyed doing lots of outdoor activities together
like white water canoeing and cross country skiing.
