For me, the best movies are those that blend romantic comedy and drama. I really enjoyed Woody Allen’s last two movies, “To Rome With Love” and “Midnight In Paris“.
After watching sufficient number of romantic movies and considering my personal observations, it seems that you couldn’t find “true love” in our modern world. Today, when you hear that someone is “in love”, it presumably means a temporal, out of control, meaningless, and unreasonable feeling that might cause a lot of problems for everybody involved. Hence, in our cruel, soulless, and modern world, no psychological pain is “worse than the total agony of being in love”. Finally, I would like to quote “Love means exposing yourself to the pain of being hurt, deeply hurt by someone you trust.” from anonymous.
