Qualifying Exams - Fall Semester

During their first two years in the Ph.D. program, students must receive a "Quals Pass" in four of the six designated courses:

COMPSCI 510Operating Systems
COMPSCI 520Numerical Analysis
COMPSCI 532Algorithms
COMPSCI 534Models and Complexity
COMPSCI 550Architecture
COMPSCI 570Artificial Intelligence

The courses listed below will have a qualifying exam offered prior to the start of the semester. Students interested in taking one or more of these exams should register by August 8, 2014. Alternatively, students may enroll in a 'qual' course and attempt to earn the Quals Pass based upon exam performance during the semester.
