Abstract

This talk will focus on how my undergraduate experiences in computer science and literature influenced my career path and detail the technical and production processes of computer animation and app production through my personal work  experiences at Pixar, Disney, and as an indie app developer.

Short Biography

Jessica Abroms is the founder of Teatime Media,  a mobile app and UX consulting company and creator of the M.A.S.H. games.  She recently worked as a Senior Producer at Disney Consumer Products and Interactive producing over sixteen popular mobile kids apps and games. She also lead user experience design at Activision/Neversoft on the Guitar Hero games. She began her career at Pixar Animation Studios working as a Technical Director on Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, Ratatouille and Up specializing in hair and cloth simulation. Jessica received her B.A. from Duke University in Computer Science and Literature and her M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University.
