Short Biography

Vijay Srinivasan earned his PhD in Computer Science from Duke University in 1995. He worked at IBM in Research Triangle Park in network architectures with a focus on standards. He was the founding Co-chairman of the IETF's MPLS working group and standardized a protocol now widely deployed across the Internet for traffic engineering and VPNs. After two successful startups in the networking space (Torrent Networking in NC/MD and CoSine Communications in CA), in 2002 he transitioned his career to the sports streaming and media industry and founded Willow TV, a company that broadcast the sports of cricket in North America. In 2010, the Willow television channel was launched on satellite and cable television and is now available in nearly 5 million homes across North America. Willow was acquired by The Times Group, India's largest media company, in 2016. Vijay's latest venture is American Cricket Enterprises (ACE), which he co-founded in 2019 to launch a professional cricket league in the United States.

Vijay has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2000 with his wife and two children.
